Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amโ6:30 pm. Mt Vernon is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Mt Vernon is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Only residents of Westchester are able to enter the pool. Made me throw my half container of juice just to tell me I can't enter the pool since I'm not a Westchester Resident. Pool looks small .

This pool is great. Free parking lot, concessions, and a locker room. The lifeguards are very vigilant, and they certainly have their work cut out for them because it gets pretty crowded. The waves are super strong, but it has periods where it stops. The slides are great but just fyi the kids have to be 46โ tall to use it. Not much shade in the main area, but towards the back where the slides are there is a lot of shade. You can bring your own food, but only empty water bottles with ice. The kids area is nice for little ones to get a break from the waves. Not a reflection on the facility itself but the crowd can be a little rowdy because there are a lot of tweens and teens. Expect to be splashed and bumped into because a lot of the kids arenโt aware of their surroundings. Another downside is kids canโt wear a mask that covers their eyes and nose.

Iโve grown up through the years of itโs renovations. We decided to attend and check out it out. We arrive at 10:30 and there were people already lined up ready for spots. I advise you get here really early to get a spot with shade and sun. When we got in, we sat under the tent pictured. It provided nice shade and we still had a section for sunbathing. Thereโs only two of these style tents available so there is race to get one. The crowd her is much better than Saxon Woods. It feels a little more elevated than Saxon Woods shockingly. There is a concession stand with shaded picnic tables to eat. There are two water slides behind the pool. There is a water playground for kids, too! The waves happen every like 15 mins. Their parking lot is very small though so keep that in mind. Honestly, I would recommend!!!

This is a beautiful pool, but is a bit smaller than the other pools, it gets really crowded on the weekends,,and I feel like the lifeguards have to pay more attention thereโs a lot of big kids running inside the pool and can hurt little ones, also you can bring food in this pool so please DO.! the food here is bad and if you want even a drink you have to make the crazy line that goes so slow. So please do yourself a favor and bring your own food
